 Post subject: porting customer interface to dedicated machine?

So, has anyone ported the customer interface to a different/dedicated machine? I'm trying to keep my web traffic away from the * boxes.

This is very doable, however there are some "gotcha's"

The easiest way is to have asterisk use the realtimeDB and get it's authentication info from the DB, then you can seperate the DB, asterisk, and web entirely....

The harder way is to not use the realtimDB and rsync the sip/iax config files between the webserver and the asterisk server.

Just be sure to point everything to the right DB

I'm already using realtime for the asterisk side. That part works great. So I guess just use another a2billing/* machine just for web? I think I get it...let me know if there is something else to it.

Anyone?? Where in the A2BCustomer_UI directory can we modify where our sql db is??
(still trying to move the A2BCustomer_UI to a different machine)

Uhm....best choice would be to copy over the A2billing.conf file....there are MANY configuration options in there other than SQL DB connectors that apply to the website

Ugh...haha I guess the best way is to make an a2billing machine just for web access that isn't used for voice....
