 Post subject: Help with no country+city code dialing

How can I set the dial plan so that my customers calling within their
locality/country do not have to dial the country+city codes (i.e. 011-441,
for people in UK) on a2b on asterisk?

Hi

Check out Option Local Dialing, which says: Add the countryprefix of the user in front of the dialed number if this one have only 1 leading zero

I changed the value to yes under Option Local Dialing in group agi-conf1, but did not work and says "the number you have dialed is currently unavailable"; when I dial number with leading zero. I see the same option in agi-conf2 & 3.

If I may, how does the system know the country prefix to add when I dial a number with 1 leading 0?

Hi

It takes it from the customer's address.

Check the number being sent to your carrier to see what is going on.

It appears to "pass through" all the digits entered without any anticipated manipulations.

The number being sent to my carrier is as dialed with a leading zero. Therefore, there is no corresponding rate to match it to. How come the country code is not being added back on and the leading zero removed?
