 Post subject: Weird situation with inbound DID destined to outbound trunk

Hi, I have assigned a non-geographical number to a customer.

When the number is called from PSTN or mobile operators, the call comes to my Asterisk server.

In FreePBX I have a inbound route for this DID, which sends the call to a custom destination, where the call is passed to "custom-a2billing-did,${EXTEN},1".

[custom-a2billing-did]
exten => _x.,1,DeadAgi(a2billing.php|4|did)
exten => _x.,2,Hangup

In A2Billing, I have created the corresponding DID and the destination.

1) When I call the DID number from PSTN, according to what I set in the A2Billing destination (voip call, fixed number, mobile number), everything works.

2) When I call the DID number from a mobile,

- if I set the destination as voip call, it works.
- if I set the destination as a fixed or mobile number, the call ends.

Any idea what may be wrong?

OK, I have been informed by the terminating telco that the reason my call is not going through is because they are getting an empty RDNIS. They require this non-empty, due to regulatory issues.

When I call the non-geographical number 0-850-260-XXXX from my mobile, this DID is destined to for example, the PSTN number 0-216-456-XXXX.

Hence the call actually goes to the trunk to the terminating telco.

They in return send me "484-address incomplete" because they expect a non- empty RDNIS.

In this scenario,

My mobile 0-533-633-XXXX has to be the CID,
The forwarded PSTN number, 0-216-456-XXXX has to be DNID,
AND the DID number 0-850-260-XXXX has to be RDNIS.

Where can I set the RDNIS?

My temporary solution was this:

I have changed

[custom-a2billing-did]
exten => _X.,1,Set(CALLERID(all)=${EXTEN:1})
exten => _X.,n,DeadAgi(a2billing.php|4|did)
exten => _X.,n,Hangup

This was the only remedy I could find. Setting (CALLERID(all)=${EXTEN:1}) alone did not work.

The fallback is, when I call the DID number that is forwarded to a PSTN or mobile, it is the DID number, not my number that is seen as CallerID.
