Hi,

I’ve setup trixbox (ver 2.4.2) and A2billing (ver 1.3.2) with no issues. I’m able to dial external numbers…but I’d like to dial an internal extension defined in my trixbox, something like when I call in and get authenticated using caller id as usual, the system will ask “ please enter the EXTENSION you wish to call and press # key”...

How can I make this happen?

Thanks,

Richard

Hi,

The last time I have used trixbox goes back a while ago. But I think that there is the possibility to create an IVR and use any sound files to make it prompt any message you wish to hear. And I also know that asterisk has some sounds file for prompting for extension number.

In freepbx, instead of choosing custom-app, you will need to use the IVR drop down. But prior to that, you will need to install the IVR modules and create an IVR menu. If the prompt that you want is not available in asterisk or in A2Billing sounds, then you can record it right from freepbx.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I do have IVR setup in my trixbox for prompting the extension number. But my questions is: after get authenticated, how to direct the caller to the IVR to enter the extension instead of asking caller to enter phone number wish to call?

The IVR will be available via a local extension (usually). Try using the addition parameters in the trunk settings. You can add in there any Dial command parameters and A2B will append it to the default one.

Something tells me that what you need cannot be done without changing some PHP code in the A2Billing AGI script.
