Call waiting for ATA user

Can any one tell me how to implement call waiting for ATA user. Currently if the user is on the phone I get an MSG saying number is busy.

I am using DIDs to reach the SIP friends (ATA).

Hi

This very much depends on your ATA, and of course assuming that your DID provider allows 2+ channels on your DID, other than that, it should just work, if the ATA can receive two concurrent calls.

Hi,

Joe is correct. I would suggest contacting the provider and double checking how many channels are allowed on the DID, as well as if your IP(s) are in a round-robin formation. This is what was preventing my clients from having call waiting. Also check the ATA ;-)
