Hi,

Has "USE FREE TIME TO CALL PACKAGE" been removed from the Add Rate in V1.4.1?

Kind Regards,

Les

Yes, but it still exists, have a look in the package section. It is much improved.

Hi Joe,

I was looking that over last night. I am not understanding how to have only selected prefixes have free time as was allowed before.

Kind Regards,

Les

well i guess there is 2 ways. add each one manually or write some sql and do it directly in the database. in your case i would modify the database directly

Hi

In 1.3 you could have only free minutes.

In 1.4, you can have free minutes or free calls, and a combination of both, as well as different values to different destinations, e.g. 1000 minutes to USA, and 10 free calls to the UK.

A free call is free of charge for the duration of the call. You can define the number of free calls allowed per package

Free Minutes are free of charge to the number of minutes you allow in the package.

You may be able to bill a fixed price per call, based on the connection or disconnection charge, however, I'm not immediately sure how you may combine this with a package.

The fact is that the new system allows far more flexibility in creating imaginative products for your customers, and once you have this in mind, you may well design your rate tables and dial codes differently to allow for this.

The package still work the same way as it was in 1.3 the one thing that changed is how you set up the rate to be free. I am still confused a bit about that. if I have rates prefix like 1718, 1718210, 1718320 and so on. can I just use 1718 as free to call to take care of all the 1718???.

Joe,

Would you care to give hints about how to import large number of rates , with large of packages defined ( be them with free minutes or free calls ) ?

Thank you.

to import a large number of rates what I did is break them down to smaller files. and imported them one by one.

I understand this.

Let me rephrase.

How to import large number of rates with the freetimetocall or freeminutes option activated?

exactly... i can't deploy many services because adding in 6000+ prefixes is WAY too much time and effort. how would i do this through the database?

Hi

There is a "batch assigned" button where you can filter and select all the rates you want to use in one movement.

If you were to create the rates and import them with a tag such as "Free-Time-To-Call" you could select them all in the search with a few clicks.

Sorry for not answering earlier, I thought this was clear from the interface.
