Hello,

I have a2billing 1.9.4 set up with asterisk 1.8.7.
I would want to use call forward feature but, when I call the extension, a2billing asks to "enter pin number".

This is the scenario:

Extension 100 has call forward to 3495956500.
Extension 101 (or external number) calls 100.
The call is forwarded to 3495956500 and the corrisponding account code of 100 is passed to a2billing.

How can I setup this?

Thank you

Although I'm not sure as to what you mean by "pass it to a2billing", try this small dial plan code:

[forwards]
exten => 100,1,Dial(SIP/3495956500) ; Use your carrier codes
exten => 101,1,Goto(forwards,100,1)

I would want that call forward was a service on demand.

Extension 100 dials *72 and all the incoming call are passed to 3495956500.

At this moment, If I call 100, a2billing asks to "enter pin number" instead of forward the call to 3495956500.
How can I pass the account code of 100 to a2billing so the call is rated to 100?

Thank you

Hi

Are you using FreePBX, and you want your customers to be in FreePBX, and pass calls to A2Billing, and have them correctly billed when a phone is forwarded.

If so, this module may do the trick:-

This module is exactly what I need... Why do they charge for it? I thought this was open source? I understand charging for service and support.. But.. I would think this would work out of the box

Hi

I believe you may be misinformed about what "free" means in the context of Open Source. The free in Open Source stands for FREEDOM, not FREE as in beer. We have chosen not to make a charge for A2Billing, and we have also decided to release it as Free (as in Freedom) software licensed under the AGPL.

In respect of the accountcode preserve module, we (Star2Billing) paid a developer experienced in FreePBX development to build the accountcode module for us, we provide support on the accountcodepreserve module to install it, we help you to install the appropriate dial-plan to make it work, and we are on hand to answer any questions on a one to one basis relating to the installation of the accountcode module. For this time and effort we put in, there is a charge. Profits from this, and other Star2Billing activities go to finance the continued development of Star2Billing's products, the majority of which are both Free as in beer, and provide you the Freedom to modify within the terms of the license under which we release our products.

Yours

Joe Roper
