any one can suggest how can i test the ip authentication ?? other than using a another a2b.. i follow this Here is what you have to do. First of all, DO NOT create a sip friend manually. It is buggy. For IP authentication, follow these steps and you will be fine: Step 1: Edit the SIP friend that you want to use IP authentication with Step 2: Set the `Type` field to `peer` without the quotes. This is very important as to my knowledge, setting it to friend or user will never work. Step 3: Set the username field to nothing. Delete its content. Step 4: Set the secret field to nothing. Delete its content Step 5: Set the host field to the domain name or the IP address of the client Step 6: Give a minimal peer setting context to the clients. And start testing. Here is an example assuming that the customer account number is 1234567. [1234567] type=peer accountcode=1234567 host=your.server.ip.address i have wholesale client and i use ip authentication procedure as i read on this forum.. deleting the username and secret and using peer ,, host - ip address of client.. but the client is getting error cc 21 proxy required 407. on show peers.. client ip is register ... my setting [0486907346] type=peer accountcode=0486907346 regexten=0486907346 callerid=0486907346 amaflags=billing nat=yes dtmfmode=RFC2833 qualify=yes canreinvite=yes disallow=all allow=ulaw allow=alaw allow=gsm allow=g729 host=ip of client context=a2billing regseconds=0 cancallforward=yes |

You're no using 'insecure=' in the peer definition, which is necessary to authenticate by IP. See the other forum threads on this topic, or just read the documentation of the Asterisk peer definitions on voip-info. |

You can add another Asterisk dialplan context which launches A2B with your alternative agi-conf. |

Hi calling card I have seen your post and you were able to implement asterisk and a2billing wholesale setup. I would like to ask if you could give me a head start. What do I have to configure in my a2billing and in my asterisk. i have been searching for answers here but haven't found any. Thank you very much in advance.... |

Hi Calling Card, I just would like to ask if the configuration you gave in your previous post applies also if asterisk is the sip client? My setup is like this I have a remote asterisk and I want calls from that asterisk server to go through a2billing. Do I just add a sip trunk on the remote asterisk server and make an outbound route using that trunk? Is it possible? |
