There is some doubt as to whether Asterisk can handle that number of calls concurrently irrespective of the hardware, but you can stack Asterisk servers up to create the capacity you require, all refering to one A2Billing database.

I'm having the same problem on my systems. Approximately 0.1% of total calls which equals to bunch of people unable to (re)use their PINs everyday; they somehow don't get their inuse set back to 0...

I'm using deadagi() on Asterisk 1.4.21.1 running a2billing 1.3.4 on Centos servers running 2.6.27.7 kernel. MySQL max connections has nothing to do with this, as I have them set x4 higher than the actual number of simultaneous calls.

I thought I recently saw a patch to make A2B re-establish problematic SQL connections. Such a patch would likely make a big difference to this problem (which seems to only affect MySQL users), but I can't seem to find it now.
Can someone please confirm that they witnessed this patch too, otherwise I shall have to assume this was another cheese-related lucid dream.

Not a dream for sure, I'm still having 4-5 accounts per a couple of thousand calls having their "inuse" counter not reset after normal call completion. :?

Hello Everyone,
Have you solved this problem? I am going through the same situation. The issue occurs only in calls between users...the user that originates the call, after hang up, stays with in use=1. I have no problem calls going to the PSTN.

I am using:
-A2B: 1.6.0
-Asterisk: 1.6.2.6
-MySQL 5.0.77
-CentOS 5

Thank you in advance.
Fernando

Hi

Are you making calls between users using the DID functionality.

Are you using PHP 5.2

You should also consider upgrading to 1.7.1, as Yahoo finance have changed something, breaking currency conversion functionality.

Hello Joe,
thank you for your reply.
Yes, users are making calls between them....I don't know exactly what do you mean with "DID functionality"...what I did is to create fake DIDs and asign them to the users via the "destination" field like SIP/xxxxxx where xxxxxx is the REGEXTEN in VoIP Settings, this is an example:

Destination: SIP/5620
DID: 9781115620
Activated: YES
VOIP_CALL: YES

I am using PHP 5.2.11.

...This is very odd...I can not figure out what could it be...

Hello Joe,
is there any document from the community or start2billing with the upgrade procedure?

Thank you.

Hi

there are many posts about this.

It's basically the same as when you installed it.

Upgrade the database using the scripts provided. (back it up first)
Replace the web pages and cronjobs, + a2billing.php, and the common directory with the new release.
