 Post subject: Force outbound callerid to assigned DID

Hi

I have people calling in thru a access # and would like to force the CID to remote party (outbound CID) to show the DID assigned to this cardnumber

I have burnt a few hours now and cant find anything
all the options I see are as follows
force CID.
CID per trunk (from random list).
lookup incoming CID either in cid list or in DID list or in both lists and if there allow the INCOMING CID to be passed.

But know way to force the card to a specific CID

does anyone have a idea how to implement this ?

changing the caller id before transferring to a2billing is not a option as that would mean a whole new database just for keeping incoming and outgoing cid and a big mess

Hi

You can easily set the caller ID when the call is being delivered through VoIP, but I do not know of a method on a customer by customer basis when using call-through.

The thing is that you do not know which of the many DID may be assigned to the customer, so I can see how this may be tricky to set in the dialplan, but I don't see a choice.

The Idea is very simple. however the A2b has no feature for this and we must hack it.

Any user may have multiple DID in any country.
when calling out to specified country which user has DID must replace outbound CID with his DID

Each DID has country selected so it is no problem.

I am going thru the same problem and as for now I have to set manualy for each customer its DID as Caller ID

If you find a way to change it in the dialplan or any other way pls share.
