 Post subject: How can customers create their own additional VoIP Accounts?

Hello All,
I am as new to A2Billing as it gets, but I have managed to read well and follow directions so I have a very nice install... At least I think so... :)

I have Asterisk 1.6 with A2B 1.7 and most seems to be working great as I am still learning...
But one thing I can't seem to locate is how to allow a customer to add additional VoIP accounts themselves. I know I can go in and add them but I really want to empower the customer to do as much as they can on their own.

Essentially I would like for them to have the option to create multiple VoIP accounts and pull from one billing account.

I appreciate any and all feedback.

This is not possible, and allowing a customer to do something like this would in my opinion, be unwise.

Hi Joe,
Thanks for the response...

Perhaps I am just asking the wrong thing... I have read in numerous posts where people want to create more than one card number under the same account. Is that the same as a VoIP account?

Example:
A customer has an account and is using an ATA to register to the server. But they also have family elsewhere and would like to set up a "Sub-Account" for a second ATA so that they can send it to them and the billing would come off of one account.

Would that be considered creating a Friend?

Hi

You have to create VoIP credentials for each and every voip device, and you can have multiple sets of credentials per account.
