Fraud. Everyone hates it, except the crook, and we need protection for it. The best way to determine fraud is by putting into A2B a Blacklist system. This way we can protect ourselves from chargebacks and additional expenses.

Blacklist feature should do the following:
- Add full numbers into blacklist.

- Add a Blacklist button in the list customers section with 2 levels of confirmation to ensure that you can't accidentally set a legit client's account into blacklist mode. If client's account is manually blacklisted, have option to automatically check all the called numbers and add the called numbers into the blacklist.

- Before checking the ratecard routes, check to see if number is blacklisted.

- If the new card is active < 30 days, then the blacklist will go into effect.

- If number is blacklisted, set customer card number into standby mode.

- Inform the client that "the account is currently pending payment verification. Please try back in 5-10 days. If you need immediate access, please contact us at 1-xxx-xxx-xxxx and have your credit card, credit card statement and 2 pieces of Id ready for faxing to us."

- Have a tracking report for blacklisted disabled card numbers. This will be easier to pick out all the fraudulent numbers and to determine the percentage of fraudulent accounts.

Did I miss anything?

Excellent post cyberglobe, this seems like a brilliant way to substantially reduce fraud.

I hope it isn't too difficult to implement.

That is a lot of programming just to handle possible black listed numbers plus a lot attention being given to possible trouble maker. Think about it, if you put someone in the black list it’s probably because whoever is using that number is making trouble in some serious deliberate ways. Try being more focused on getting new clients and leave the trouble makers behind. A simple black listed feature is all that is needed in most cases and at most maybe a recording telling them the office number to call just incase the trouble maker gets born again and decides to pay up what he owes or did wrong to ease his conscious. And how often do you think this is going to happen? Then again its always possible that some poor innocent person get a new number that happens to be own by some jerk who previously got black listed.

I done implemented a simple black listed feature in my first installation of a2b a year ago and it did come in handy a few times. I think I even posted the code on this forum but it didn’t ever make it into a2b.
