I just installed my first A2Billing system. The system is connected to a PRI line on one side and a PBX on the other side (also through PRI). It is a school with 350 students, and all the students must use A2Billing, but all the administrative staff should have direct access to an outside line.

I want the administrative staff's calls to be logged with A2Billing, since I charge them for the calls they make, but I don't want them to enter their code and destination each time. What I need is for them to dial the number they want to call. The call will be routed through A2Billing, which will recognize the customer according to its caller ID, dial whatever the extension it got on the other line and write the call in the log according to the rates defined. I don't want any prompts in the middle, it should be totally transparent to the caller.

Is this possible?

Hi

This is a similar set up to this: -

http://forum.asterisk2billing.org/viewtopic.php?t=2467

I used FreePBX for each extension, then set the outbound route via a custom trunk to A2Billing "local/$OUTNUM$@a2billing"

The customer was then authenticated on the basis of their extension number or DID

Yours

Joe
