hi, i'm using card alias as a login ( not email ) - so i let users to choose their login during registration - for example joe55. My problem is - when i try to edit something in the admin side - i get error message saying card alias not in number format. Is there any way to remove restrictions on card alias on admin side????? the manual workaround i do to edit mysql manually, which is pain sometimes... thank you.

Look in A2Billing_UI/Public/form_data/FG_var_card.inc around line 215 and find:
Code:
$HD_Form -> AddEditElement (gettext("CARD ALIAS"),
            "useralias",
            "",
            "INPUT",
             "size=20 $maxi2 maxlength=40",
            "4",
            gettext("Insert the useralias"),
            "" , "", "",   "", "" , "", "", "");

Simply change the "4", to "", 8)

cardalias is also used to call iax/sip friend!
that s why this needs to be only digits.

Hi, thanks stavros it worked. I understand areski - majority of my customers just use calling cards. Eventually i'll switch to email signup versus card alias.

Sorry Areski. Perhaps I should make clear I don't recommend that change for exactly the reason you detailed.
FYI, even the venerable old Cisco ATA-186 can be persuaded to dial alphanumeric destinations from a DTMF keypad alone. I don't recommend trying that either, if you value your sanity. :D
