Hi Guys, I'm not sure if it is a bug or not. but when I was setting up our primary currency rate, for example, we sell card based on Euro but we buy traffic from a carrier based on USD and there is no option to set buying currency rate in a2billing and I have to manually calculate when importing a ratecard. so far there is no bug, the bug or financial crisis may happen once there is a big change in currency rate and our buying rate is still based on old rate and our selling rate is also like that and if the margin is very very little we may end up loosing money. I would be great to set buying rate currency and selling rate percentage so for instance if we buy at 0.05 USD and selling at 0.06 USD our profit margin is 20% and after currency change we may sell it at 0.0426 Euro based on 0.71 (US2EU) and the rate has to get updated automatically. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks |

I try to explain simple, lets say we want to buy 1000 minute call at 0.05 USD. I must 0.05x1000 = 50USD the US to EURO rate is 0.71 at the time I am importing ratecard. My call per minute cost 0.0355 which is 35.5 Euro. so I start to sell at 0.04 euro and I get 40 Euro (56.4USD). BUT, when I want to pay carrier the rate is changed and is 0.90 so it means my 40 euro is 44USD which is lower than my cost. so I end up loosing money. because the ratecard does not have dynamic currency. I must update them everyday manually to make sure I follow the currency rates. |
