Hi!
I need a feature to give some seconds of the call for free. Customers call a number and get a Voicemail. They get billed for 1 minute. I want to be able to set a sec value that is free before billing starts. Can this be implemented?

Regards

It is already implemented. Try using the progressive billing scheme. You can specify a rate that is zero for the 1st segment of the call and a different rate for the rest of the call. The duration of the segments is up to you. You have a maximum of 3 segments (A, B and C) that you can specify.

To enable this, you have to turn the advanced features on inside a2billing.conf

Sandberg, the functionality you're looking for already exists in the a2billing.conf file:

; this is the minimum duration in seconds of a call in order to be billed
; any call with a length less than min_duration_2bill will have a 0 cost
; useful not to charge callers for system errors when a call was answered but it actually didn't connect
min_duration_2bill = 3 (will not charge if calls is under 3 seconds)
