Hi all

i have been using asterisk2Billing Version 1.3.4 (SeamRóg) - Release : 1 Oct 2008 for almost a year now. there has been no problem since then.

now, there seems to be some delay when i try to access the "CDR Report" SubMenu.

when i click on the CDR report and waits for the CDR to be shown on the right side of the screen. There is a long delay on retrieving of CDR something like 10-20 minutes.

while a2b is retriving the CDR, any incoming calls just failed to pass the calls to the respective destination. and a2b keeps failing to send any new calls to any destinations until the CDR is displayed on the right side of the screen.

A quick check on the Master.csv records and it shows a whopping 1.7GB data. maybe thats the reason for my problem.

now, my concern, is it possible to removed / delete the aged CDR. i have third party to install this copy of a2b so i dont know the password to mysql.

can i install phpmyadmin to delete the aged cdr ? having said that, i remember i have to delete the CDR manually.

is there any other faster ways of removing the aged CDR ?

thank you all

Hi

A google search will explain how to reset the MySQL root password, but you should be able to do everything you need to do using the A2Billing password found in /etc/asterisk/a2billing.conf.

If you are not used to the command line, then installing phpmyadmin would help you archive off some CDR records. Make sure you download the older version of phpmyadmin, as the new version only supports PHP 5.2, and you may not have that on an older install, particularly if the operating system is CentOS. If the system was built on say Trixbox, PBX in a Flash, or indeed we built it for you, then the root mysql passord would be passw0rd.

A2Billing 1.4 has modifications to improve the efficiency of CDR records, and has an archive tool. A2Billing can be upgraded to 1.4 without loss of data.
