I have downloded my rate card to make some changes and wanted to upload it. I get the following error.

ERROR:
* file type is not allowed
o .html, .php, .txt, .inc (etc) (text/plain)
o .csv (text/x-comma-separated-values)
I tried with all formats, xml also and got the same error.

Just a simply qustion: Why can i not upload the same file that i have downloded?

I've always imported ratecard as CSV, and it's european standard which means ; delimited and replace dots (.) with commas for numbers.

I end up working in Excel, save as CSV comma delimited. Then open in wordpad and do search and replace all , with ;
search and replace all . with ,

Seems to work everytime

I did everything as you told me but no success. I tried many other solutions.

My format looks like this:

I tried also from the example:
32473;Belgium Mobile Proximus;1,70;1,44

I've never tried using , as a decimal separator, but I have had good results using ..
I've attached a file that imports just fine for me, after adding the first 7 extra fields: buyrate, buyrateinitblock, buyrateincrement, initblock, billingblock, connectcharge, and disconnectcharge.
What does "ITS NOT WORKING" actually mean? What results do you get?

Very strange indeed. I just imported your '2.txt' without a problem: "Success, 8 new rates have been imported."
I'm guessing the problem must be related to either your PHP version (5.2.5+Suhosin here), your locale (en_GB here) or something along those lines.
You've still not told us exactly how it fails for you. What error message do you get?

It's been mentioned elsewhere previously that the reason A2B has trouble importing .CSV from Windows, is Excel register a really odd MIME type for .CSV. I believe Asiby made additions to A2B recently to overcome this limitation.

Hello Stavros,

Yes I did some changes, but I have actually never committed then. The reason was because depending on the presence or the absence of Excel as default program for CSV files, my fix was behaving strangely.

There is another problem that may occur on most Windows PC. If the regional settings use a coma (,) as decimal separator, then Excel will always export CSV by using semicolon (;) insteas of a coma as field separator. On my computers, I have changed the regional settings to English and I have associated CSV files to Notepad. Since then, every thing worked just fine.

Cheers
