my a2billing callback service is working intermittently. Sometimes Asterisk did received incoming callback request, and a2billing callback spool shows the process, with pending status but never make the callback. It keep spooling and more call request coming in, but not calling back.

I checked the process and found that callback daemon was gone - Checked the a2billing-daemon-callback.log and found this...

[2008-04-25 0:03:57] : TRY TO FIND PENDING CALLBACK
** Number of PENDING callbacks 0 **

[2008-04-25 0:04:07] : TRY TO FIND PENDING CALLBACK
** Number of PENDING callbacks 0 **

[2008-04-25 0:04:17]]ERR: Couldn't open connection: Too many connections

The callback spool job were stop at the same time the error was produced. Anyone seen this before? what could have caused this? Is this has something to do with the asterisk itself and anyway to fix this?

Every time when this happen (about once a day), I have to clear the spool job and start the call-back daemon manually. Is that a bug?

greatly appreciate if anyone could help..

Sounds like you're running quite a busy system there.
The connections to which it refers are most likely to the SQL server. Tune your SQL server to permit more concurrent connections. It's likely you'll also have been dropping calls because of this; check your a2billing_agi.log for abnormal terminations.

Good for you. Please don't forget to consider contributing to the Success Stories forum, or even donating some of your proceeds to the A2Billing project.
