Hi all,

I run Asterisk 1.4.23.2 and A2B 1.3.4 and mostly it's going great.

However, (of course there's a but) I noticed a memory leak on the server and under further investigation I noticed a number of a2billing.php processes like such:

asterisk 18317 0.0 0.0 0 0 ? Z 10:13 0:00 [a2billing.php] <defunct>
asterisk 19784 0.0 0.0 0 0 ? Z 11:06 0:00 [a2billing.php] <defunct>
asterisk 22940 0.0 0.0 0 0 ? Z 11:49 0:00 [a2billing.php] <defunct>

I'm not sure what is causing this, any ideas? (cos Google's fresh out)

Cheers
Nic

One likely cause of these defunct instances is SIGHUP not being received by A2B. This might be caused by missing pcntl support in PHP, or using AGI() rather than DeadAGI(), amongst other things.

Thanks for the suggestions, but definitely using DeadAGI and php -m shows pcntl as present.

What are those "other things" that you mentioned?

I should say that this is intermittent, roughly in about 1% of calls.

Cheers
Nic

I've never experienced the problem you report, so the only thing I can be relatively sure of that A2B is not root cause of the problem. If I had to guess I'd suspect there may be an issue with your PHP interpreter.
