Hi Guys, I'm planning on a Freeswitch conversion of A2B 1.4 is anyone interested in this? For high volume solutions, you can't beat FS. I'm now running 200 call setups/sec and 1000 calls on a single server, where Asterisk died on the same hardware at 250 calls. I believe FS sits in between * and Openser. All the power of Openser and the functionailty of * with regards to a BUA. I think this would truely be a carrier grade solution. I'm moving away from an Openser/asterisk solution as FS covers both areas very well. regards |

After the release and stabilisation of A2B v1.4 I believe the intent is to focus on moving to FreeSwitch. |

Middletn, I believe the high volume calls that freeswitch is supposed to be able to handle is higher than the maximum limit that asterisk can dream of. But I have established 500 calls in the same asterisk box. I managed to successfully reinvite all the RTP and the Asterisk box was only doing SIP signalling. We had 1000 channels. That says a lot about what can be done with Asterisk. I do prefer Freeswitch, but all hopes are not lost with Asterisk. Cheers |
