Post subject:  Using InnoDB as main storage instead of MyISAM

Hello!

I was wondering if the usage of InnoDB as storage engine instead of MyISAM is a good idea. What would be the trade-offs in this case beside the usual ones that rise by switching from MyISAM to InnoDB (including the improvements due to this switch)?
Would this impact extremely on performance? Should PostgreSQL be used instead of MySQL + InnoDB? Did somebody try it and what was the result? I'm thinking about the following use case when the average traffic is around 50 or 60 simultaneous calls (from different users) for instance. Thank you! :D

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I didn't know where to post this. I apologize in advance!
