Post subject:  A2Billing (Ver 1.8.1) billing customers while phone rings

HI
Can some one help? I’m new to asterisk and a2billing but I managed to install and running a2billing (ver 1.8.1) in FreePBX (ver 2.8.0.4) Asterisk (Ver. 1.6.2.15). Every think working fine expect one major think. It’s billing the customers while phone rings (before someone answers the calls). Is any way to sort this problem out?

Something in the path, probably your carrier, is answering the call. Raise a trouble ticket with your carrier to ask them not to answer the call, and if they don't there are some workarounds, or better change carriers.

Thank you for the replay.
I know 100% Carrier not charging. My carrier also provides fully itemise billing online like a2billing. I’m sure the problem with a2billing side.

look at your agi-conf

You might be answering calls on your side.

Your carrier does not start charging until the called party answers the call, that does not mean to say that they do not answer the call.

The only way A2Billing starts charging is if someone / something answers the call, so inspect the debug to see where this is occurring.

sometimes even a false ring from other carrier can cause this problem.
that would mean they answer the call.
Check that with them as well.
