Hi folks,

I need some help here if some one can guide me. i have installed a2billing and everything seems working fine. i am changing a2billing.php. i want to start the dialing at the backed and then play the call minutes ivr. but the dialing should be start as soon as some one diales the number because it takes almost 10 sec to dial out and the minutes remaining ivr usually finishes in 5-6 seconds.

is anyone can guide me how can i achieve this?

Hi

It is not possible to interrupt the IVR.

The dialling should be immediate as soon as the # key is pressed, PDD may be caused by having your logging turned on in the agi-conf, or your carrier is slow. Inspection of the asterisk CLI while dialling will confirm this.

yes dialing is started as soon as i press #. my current scanario is i dial the number, and it gives me my balance ivr and remaing minutes ivr then it dials the number after those ivrs. i want to start the dialing as soon as the system tells me the balance ivr.

please guide...

Hi

Don't play the "Minutes Remaining" IVR, switch it off in the agi-conf, then the call will be made right after playing the balance.

However it seems you are using VoIP, in this case, I would not answer the call, not play IVR, and simply dial it. In this way the timer on the phone matches the answered time, not the time you answered, and the customer gets a better experience.

If they want to hear the balance, create an extension in the dialplan to play the balance using a different agi-conf configured to play the balance.

Actually, i need to run both of applications Dial as well as the balance.

any thought? can i do in the call file to play ivr on a specific channel?
