Hi,

I did a search and did not find any reference to Google Chrome and its translation extension.

Has anyone used these items in combination before? If so, was the translation well enough to understand? I was just trying them out and they did seem to translate one click slick even within the GUI.

Kind Regards,

Les

Hi

Areski Tweeted / Buzz'd about this the other day, and has applied the principles to the new CDR-Stats application we have just released at http://www.cdr-stats.org/

Thanks Joe,

Fee! Fie! Foe! Fum! I was thinking of using it to manually translate if the translations where good enough. Your Pepipopum like was like getting ice cream for breakfast :)

Kind Regards,

Les

Hi Joe,

Thank You Areski.

Yes ice cream is a good thing :)

I have created a .po file with Pepipopum. It was pretty painless. How are you or Areski generating the .mo file. Are you just opening it in poedit and then renaming it?

Kind Regards,

Les

Hi

As I understand it, poedit, when you have worked up a set of .mo / .po files, can you send them to areski, and we can see about including them in future versions of A2Billing.

Clearly do not translate the SIP and IAX settings in the voip settings section, as that will cause any amount of confusion.

Hi Joe,

Are the SIP and IAX settings in the EN .po file?

For a test, I was going to backup and download my actual EN .po file from cust_ui_locale and do the following:

1. Upload it to Pepipopum and translate it into ES

2. Compare my current ES .po file to the new one to see how good Google translated.

3. Open the new one in poedit and save it as a .mo file.

4. Upload both the .po and .mo file to the correct folder for ES customer translations.

5. Review Customer GUI for concerns.

Do you see a problem with this procedure?

Kind Regards,

Les

Hi

As far as I know, ES is already fully translated and done.

Hi Joe,

Yes, you are correct. Thus, I figured I would compare Pepipopum results to the already done .po file to see how well it works.

While doing this I believe, I might have found that even in the newest trunk for spanish, the Fields "User" in the customer login page is not translated.

#: templates/default/index.tpl:57
msgid "User"
msgstr ""

However, this is my fist real attempt at this, I could be incorrect.

Kind Regards,

Les

Post subject:  Re: Google Chrome

Hi Joe,

I have the following error when I open the ES .po file in poedit and then just save it (without any edit). This is happening on the latest trunk as well as the ones below it.

common\cust_ui_locale\es_ES\LC_MESSAGES\messages.po:2411: 'msgstr' is not a valid PHP format string, unlike 'msgid'. Reason: In the directive number 1, the character 'p' is not a valid conversion specifier.
4:05:39 PM: msgfmt: found 1 fatal error

I believe the code is:
#: lib/Form/Class.FormHandler.inc.php:1059
#, php-format
msgid "(PERCENT FORMAT WITH/WITHOUT DECIMAL, use '.' for decimal and don't use '%' character. e.g.: 12.4 )"
msgstr "(FORMATO NUMÉRICO PORCENTUAL CON/SIN DECIMAL, use '.'para decimal y no use '%', por ejemplo: 12.4)"

The .mo file is being generated but I am not sure if it is corrupted or not. Have you, Areski, or anyone else received this error before?

Kind Regards,

Les
