Hi,

I've been getting my teeth into A2B and have overcome a lot of problems with the help of previous posts on this forum, but this one has me stumped.

When I call, I can hear my balance being read out to me, but not the 'you have' and 'dollars' sounds that come before and after. The debug log says:

Apr 21 13:43:46 WARNING[10427]: file.c:509 ast_openstream_full: File prepaid-you-have does not exist in any format
Apr 21 13:43:47 WARNING[10427]: file.c:509 ast_openstream_full: File prepaid-dollar does not exist in any format

and so on for all the prepaid- files. They are all in the /var/lib/asterisk/sounds/ folder, for good measure I've put them in /var/lib/asterisk/sounds/en/ and even /var/lib/asterisk/agi-bin/sounds/ just in case it was looking somewhere else.

I have tried converting the .gsm files to WAV (the digits sounds are WAVs) but that doesn't seem to help.

I'm thinking it's a codec problem, I've changed what codecs the client can connect with but with no success.

Any ideas from anyone?

Thanks

Mike

Windows user sitting on a linux box problem?

Filenames are case sensitive. Check the permissions, so that the asterisk user has read permission on the files, too.

Hi

Thanks for the reply, I found the problem myself...

I was putting sound files in /var/lib/asterisk/sounds/ (because there were some already in there)

They should have been going in /usr/share/asterisk/sounds/ ...

That problem overcome, I am now working on the next one...!
