Well I finally got the system in a production enviroment and now here we are we are missing calls in our CDRs and the billing system is not billing all the calls it seems as thought the calls are bypassing the system.

Any ideas?

It must be something we did wrong?

Hi

I note you are posting in the 1.2 section, can I assume that you are using 1.2, if so, you may have more success with 1.3.

same issue with 1.3 unfortunately.

When we send more than 100 calls at any time we get many errors

unable to open database

it does not bill all the calls.

running Dual-Xeon's ("Clovertown") with Octal-Core

we have 10 connected but notice when we hit 100 calls on an individual machine asterisk throws up all kinds of erros. We have tried several different versions of asterisk.

We noticed 1.23 has less errors than 1.3.

for the now we have moved everything back to our othr switch and billing system until we can get a true and complete fix for this. the onyl other issue is being able to download CDR's with the click of a button and under invoice it onyl gives the last 500 calls made.

At 100 calls asterisk will have many files open, but the usual linux box default open file descriptors limit is low in asterisk terms.

try increasing these values at the end of /etc/security/limit.conf . add them if they do not exist. these number can be higher in multiples.
root soft nofile 4096
root hard nofile 8196
asterisk soft nofile 4096
asterisk hard nofile 8196

NOTE: not all linux distributions file descriptors are updated this way use the method for your system.
