Hello,

I have installed a2billing 1.2 however when a call in using the customer calling card number then place the call after I hang up it does not deduct the charges it will keep saying the same balance like for example $5. Is there some changes I should make, or if I install 1.3 ontop will that cause any issues?

Thanks

I don't remember that one. v1.2.3 perhaps?

You need to search harder. This topic has been covered countless times.

You must also upgrade the database schema and merge any necessary changes to a2billing.conf. After the bug fixes I made to the SQL upgrade scripts a couple of months ago I've managed to upgrade a number of v1.2.3 systems to v1.3.0.

sorry about the double posting. I am not sure I understand if I can install 1.3 on top of 1.2.3. So if I install it even though the data that is there now is not important to me will it just overwrite it?

Thanks

When you upgrade you shouldn't initialize the database from scratch. Instead you should use one of the UPDATE-*.sql scripts in the DataBase folder to upgrade the schema. You have to pick the correct script(s) based on the version you are upgrading from.

Your existing a2billing.conf configuration file also needs to have changes integrated. You can use Trac to see when various updates were made. You may find it easier to start from a fresh copy of the new a2billing.conf and manually merge your settings from your existing a2billing.conf.
