 Post subject: I am experiencing similar problem

I have found that other distriction system has php5-pcntl package. But it seems that there is no one for centos.

I will post some guide here if I find a way to install php5-pcntl

On Centos, simply install php-common ... using yum install php-common and you will have pcntl for PHP.

The problem acutally comes from that I installed php-pcntl (which is actually from php4.3) after I upgrade to php5. That is causing problem. After removing that module, it works.
