DnID is Dialed Number iD, for example:

Im call from the number 222 to 111 and asterisk pick up the call...

my number (222) is the CID
the number that i called (111) is the DNID

thats usefull if you dont want to ask to the user the number to dial....DnID is Dialed Number iD, for example:

Im call from the number 222 to 111 and asterisk pick up the call...

my number (222) is the CID
the number that i called (111) is the DNID

thats usefull if you dont want to ask to the user the number to dial....

If you set :: DNID=yes :: in a2billing.conf, then the system [asterisk2billing] will not ask to enter any number, rather than it will send to execute the dial command straightly with the URI received.

dont use DNID=yes for calling card, cause

1. it will always, first dial to URI that received.
2. then after, a2b will ask to enter for Destination number

::- why to disable DNID for calling card?
1. it will play the amount of calling time, according to URI that you set [user get confused]
2.You will get one extra call leg for that URI in Call charges

Thanx for ur reply :)

I tried to use dnid , but wasn't successfull :(

here is a needed configuration inside a2billing.conf :

[agi-conf4]

; if we want to manage the answer on the call
answer_call=yes
(Can u plz comment on this, what is it ? what does it do ? )

; if YES it will catch the DNID and try to dial it out directly without asking for the phonenumber to call
; value : YES, NO
use_dnid=YES

; Play the balance to the user after the authentication (values : yes - no)
say_balance_after_auth=NO
; Play the balance to the user after the call (values : yes - no)
say_balance_after_call=NO
; Play the time the user can call (values : yes - no)
say_timetocall=YES

; enable the callerid authentication
; ####if this option is active the CC system will check the CID of caller
cid_enable=YES

Here is my settings inside extensions.conf :
[a2billing]
; CallingCard application
exten => 1,1,Answer
exten => 1,2,Wait,1
exten => 1,3,DeadAGI,a2billing.php
exten => 1,4,Wait,1
exten => 1,5,Hangup

exten => _X.,1,Answer
exten => _X.,2,Wait,1
exten => _X.,3,DeadAGI(a2billing.php|agi-conf4)
exten => _X.,4,Wait,1
exten => _X.,5,Hangup

After i dial a number ( i diall 970xxxxxxxx) then i hear "u have xxx balance " then play " Plz enetr the number u want to call" !!!

It can recognize my CID but still it did not catch the number i dialled !!

I still think that to catch a number, then the AGI script must have support this .....

Anyone successfully tested dnid ??

Plz , thanx

Now its works, i know where the problem is :

exten => _X.,3,DeadAGI(a2billing.php|agi-conf4) ---wrong
exten => _X.,3,DeadAGI(a2billing.php|4) ------------correct :D

Thanx,

Bair

Hello,
I came here looking for the same, but I'm not sure if I understand what's this function...

I wanted to allow my users to place calls directly from PSTN without introducing the destination number in the IVR prompts. So I have a number 001719000000, and I wanted to allow any user to call this number from any phone, and place directly his call...
So, when customer 8888 will call from his fix phone 00181600000, having already this phone enabled as caller id in his account, to get authenticated automatically, how he should deal my access number to reach the end destination, without passing by the prompts? I mean, with which dealing pattern he should deal to release the call??

I'm little bit confused!!

Thanks,
