Hello everyone. I have been reading a2billing´s docs. and i am wondering if
a2billing can be used as a wholesale billing product.

I am looking to send and receive and redirect(sip redirect) voip traffic with Asterisk.
Anyone knows if a2billing handles trunks and carriers?

Thanks a lot,regards

Hi

Yes it can, we have a few deployments with it being used in that role.

Hi Joe, thanks for your answer. I was wondering if it took any programming from you
to get it working as a full wholesale voip/carrier software?

Or was it just a matter of correct configuration?

Thanks a lot,regards

Hi

It's just a matter of the appropriate SIP configurations, and agi-conf configurations. e.g. don't answer the call, don't play audio, don't play the balance, Remove the R and r to remove false ring etc etc.

Ok, thanks. I´ll give it a try and see how it works out.

All the routing information shows up in the cdrs(when you configure it to route wholesale)?

Thanks

Hi

The only differences between wholesale and any other kind of termination, is that fact that we don't answer the calls, because we have no need to provide audio. In some cases, the method of authentication is different, in as much as you may want to authenticate by IP and 5 digit or more prefix, which may require a bit of dialplan work.

So yes, the CDR will be fine.

Hello, everyone. I am still working on the wholesale setup.

I created a trunk in the Providers menu of the admin interface with the name 1133(same name as used in extensions.conf)

My extensions.conf looks like this

[a2billing]
; CallingCard application
;exten => _X.,1,Answer
;exten => _X.,2,Wait,2
exten => 1133,1,DeadAGI,a2billing.php
;exten => _X.,4,Wait,2
exten => _X.,2,Hangup

My sip.conf:

[1133]
eded
type=friend
regexten=1133
callerid="1133 pirip"
host=dynamic
context=a2billing
nat=yes
canreinvite=no
disallow=all
allow=gsm
allow=ulaw
allow=alaw
mailbox=1234@default,1233@default
;defaultip=10.0.0.5
username=1133
secret=guessit
fromuser=1133
outboundproxy=10.0.0.15

Does anybody know is a2billing.php makes the outgoing call?

When i dial 1133 from my xlite i get :

[Mar 11 09:35:30] WARNING[1981]: file.c:664 ast_openstream_full: File prepaid-enter-pin-number does not exist in any format

I see it´s complaining about pin numbers, but i can´t figure out just yet. Any ideas?
Thanks, regards

Hi

It's telling you the sound files are not in place, not that you need them for wholesale.

I found that the sounds files are configured in a2billing.conf

dir_store_audio = /var/lib/asterisk/sounds/a2billing

I looked and found all the files there, but i still get the error message.

Any ideas?
Thanks
