I am trying to setup a A2B for wholesale operation.
I have different wholesale clients that send callswith a prefix+ countrycode +area code
I want to delete the prefix before going to the rate vards so that i can reuse the rate cards for many clients.
And the prefix also messes up the destination description.

Is there any easy way to delete the prefix and just leave the normalized CC+AC?

Hi

Do this in the asterisk dialplan, removing the prefix and setting it as the account code, and delivering the rest of the number into A2Billing

Thanks for the idea, but I found a way to do it directly without leaving A2B.
In the Call plan i set the option "Remove Prefix".
In the "System Settings " "Global List" key="international prefixes" I added the prefix the carrier is sending.
This strips off the prefix and delivers the normalized CC-AC-number into the rate cards.
Worked Ok.

The advantage of doing it the way I described is that the A2Billing will authenticate the customer on the basis of account code, irrespective of the IP address of the customer. However you can authenticate on both.

Can you please give me a short example to setup the dialplan to work as you describe.
I want to give it a try because it is usefull for customers with multiple or cahnging IPs.
