Hello

this is great news !!! I am currently trying to install...

quick question... the mysql script: a2billing-schema-v1.4.0.sql contains explicit reference to a db called '`a2b_14_import`

would be it correct to replace that with the actual DB name ?

congratulations again...

J.

Yes, that should let you proceed.

ok... i did complete the install, and it went well...
only other things I noted:
- the tutorial states to initially create the user with the following script: a2billing-MYSQL-createdb-user.sql while the name in the tarball does not have the capital MYSQL - no big deal !
also, I added the IF EXISTS after the DROP TRIGGER in the a2billing-schema-v1.4.0.sql file (mentionned in some other post)

now, I get to the login screen, enter root /changepasswrod, and then 'Connection failed'... a bit of seaching shows it comes from Class.A2Billing.php line 2654, and that datasource is set to : mysqli://a2billinguser:billinga4@localhost/a2b_14

i am running mysql, with a db called A2B_14, usual user name, and password changed as in the datasource string... localhost exist, and even when i replace it with the actual hostname, no luck...

any hints would be welcome....

jean

Added after 13 minutes:

ok... if I bug anyone, let me know....

just found out what happened... the module php-mysqli wasnt installed on the box... though this same box was running A2B 1.3.4 perfectly, it seems 1.4 is now dependant on this package !

I now have a sexy A2Billing 1.4 welcome screen !

That's correct. A2B switched from the 'mysql' to 'mysqli' interface.

good news... got my 1st call through A2B 1.4 !!! I now need to get into further details !!!

I've worked with a few professional billing systems, for mobile mostly, like LHS-Schlumberger sema BSCS, Sema Cabs 2000, Arbor BP, and the quality of A2B delivery is really impressive....

Thanks for your feedback. I've just fixed the issues you reported in trunk.

Hello

I have recently installed the RC1 of A2B v1.4 on a spanking brand new CentOS v5.3 box. I followed the instructions which were included in the tar file for installation on CentOS although they seem to predate the RC1 version of the software.

Below is my setup:

Server A:
Asterisk v1.6.2.0-beta2
A2B v1.4

Server B:
CentOS v.5.3
MySQL v5

When I attempt to login into the A2B by browsing to (http://ServerA/a2billing/admin) on the first server, using root and changepassword, I get the following error:

Connection failed

The server appears to link to the following URL: (http://ServerA/a2billing/admin/Public/PP_intro.php)

I saw something about having mysqli compiled on the server but I am not sure how to determine this or if it is even necessary with this build sonce somewhere in this thread I saw a mention of the issue being corrected.

Any ideas?

Thanks.
