 Post subject: Setting up Trunk - Urgent

Good Morning All.
To have my Trunk working where do I set it up ? is is in Asterisk it self ? because the Only Thing the Gui ask me is the Ip Address of the Host wich from what I read on a couple documents need to have the name of the Outgoing trunk . Does that Mean I have to setup Trunk in Asterisk example [broadvoice] and enter that name in the web interface in the Ip Address Field ?

Personnally, I've setup the outgoing trunk in Asterisk (sip.conf).

then, I've created a trunk in A2B, with technology SIP, and provider IP: the name of the trunk in the SIP.CONF file...

Example of my sip.conf:

[voipbuster]
type=friend
username=xxxxx
secret=yyyyy
host=sip.voipbuster.com
port=5060
canreinvite=no
qualify=3000
insecure=port,invite
nat=no

then, the provider IP field is populated with "voipbuster"

ok Thanks Jean, I successfully added my trunk in Sip.conf and the status is ok when I do a show sip peers in the CLi.
Now I am still not able to make calls as one of the customer.
I am getting the number I have Dialed is currently not available.
Call Plan, rates and Rate Card configured.
1st Question Do I need to do anything in Extensions.conf to let A2Biling know that it needs to use this Route ?

2nd Question The Dial Prefix do I need to Specify 011 for international and country Area code ?

Hi,

When you run A*, make sure you have a verbosity level defined. This also needs to be configured for A2B (config screen)

Make sure also the simulator can rate the call - that's a start ! also, check that the rates/ratecards/call plan are linked together (specially, dont forget to add the rates in the ratecards)

re your questions
q1. in extensions.conf, there are the few lines recommended in the install wiki to add (deadagi call)
q2. it depends on the format your provider accepts, and how your customer dial - you may need to play at the trunk definition level to remove some digits, and add others, so the call goes through.

at this stage, looks like you're almost there, and I'd suspect a lot of help can be found in the V1.3 section as well - hopefully, while a number of great improvements have been made, a lot is still common between the two versions,
