Hi Anyone managed to get outbound caller id to work,
I have set the caller id in SIP/ IAX settings as Joe suggested in one of the posts.
AGI_Conf's Autoset caller id is set to no, force caller id left empty and CID_santize is Both but when i call my mobile, all i get is 0123456789.
Any clues will be highly appreciated.

Dear Eamonn,

which provider are you using? Many Providers can not send the caller id proper/or to all
destinations.

If you set the caller ID customer>voip settings and reload takes no effect in my A2billing. It takes effect only
by edit the *.conf files direct.

In this format:
callerid=4989123456789

Or you do it over the Admin panel. After changing the caller ID, press "generate additional a2billing sip.con/iax.conff" and
make a reload. (I recommend this for you!)

Cheers

Hi skiller and all

i have a similar problem. i need to send the customers (caller) DID as the callerid to my provider. should it work if i set to

Auto Set CLID : YES
Force CLID : <blank>
CLID Sanitize : DID

i am using a2biling 1.4.3.1 revision 2535 with asterisk 1.6 (trixbox 2.8.0.1) and using asterisk realtime

my setup dun like this only sends the customerID no mater what i do even using the sip.conf
it was working before the SVN update :o

any ideas??

thanks
Avi

Try this what I said in my post. Forget the CLI settings in your Trixbox. A2billing will handle it.

hi skiller

yes that works. thanks.
by the way, do u know y callerid doesn't getting created when creating the sip friend?? DB gets update properly

is there a workaround other-than editing the "additional_a2billing_iax.conf" file ????

can not give command line access to users creating accounts :(

Code:
do u know y callerid doesn't getting created when creating the sip friend??

Of course it will be created as well in the additional_a2billing_iax.conf.

In need only IAX users, I explain you how I handle it.

1. I am creating a new user
2. I connect to my Asterisk via SSH

asterisk -r
reload

New Sip and IAX datas are generated in the additional_a2billing_iax.conf and additional_a2billing_sip.conf
Now in the next step I have to set the caller ID (Iax user)

1. Customers > voip settings >configuration type IAX
2. Choose your customer you want to set the caller ID
3. Enter the caller ID in this format 44123456789
3. confirm data at the bottom
4. click to "additional_a2billing_iax.conf" after this you have to click "Reload"

If you are doing not step 4 and you make a reload only over the Asterisk CLI, it will take no effect!!!

And all its the same for Sip users.

Cheers
Skiller
