Hi,
I want to set up two rates cards for my customers, Standard (Cheap) and Premium (expensive) .
I want to add both rate Cards in a single call Plan, where a predetermined prefix will use the right rate card, For example. *222 should choose the standard rate card, and *333 should choose expensive.

Some one can advice how to achieve such functionality in A2 Billing, I know callwithus.com and other similar functionality.

Regards

put a set of rates with 333 in front, which calls a trunk that strips off 333 and passes to the carrier

put a set of rates with 222 in front, which calls another trunk that strips off 222 and passes to the carrier.

I tired that , but then rate cards stuffed up with all calls goes to with a country which prefix 222 ,
But i have found the nice solution for this

Lets says we want to set up two rates cards
Gold with prefix *222
Siver with Prefix *333

1 Set up two more context in extensions.conf file with name a2bgold and a2bsilver ( for example)
2 Now set up two more agi.conf files ( agi.conf2 and agi.conf3)
3 in these two agi.conf files setting use force_callplan_id to specific call plan
4 now create gold and silver call plan
5 Ask customers to send the gold calls with prefix of *222 ( or what ever) and silver calls with *333, when calls arrived route them to right context in extensions.conf file and from that context right agi.conf2 or 3 will executed and call plan forced in that agi.conf will invoced.
if no prefix enter then default call plan of customer will invoced

I hope i have explained it properly

Generally we would use a varying number of zeros, as they will not match a country code - usually 3 zeros or 4 zeros.

solaris, read what Joe Said
Code:
put a set of rates with 333 in front, which calls a trunk that strips off 333 and passes to the carrier
put a set of rates with 222 in front, which calls another trunk that strips off 222 and passes to the carrier.
Joe

Code:
I tired that , but then rate cards stuffed up with all calls goes to with a country which prefix 222 ,

No you haven't,
according to Joe's post a call to UK 333447 would strip 333 and forward 447 to the premium route, and
a call to 222447 would strip 222 and forward 4477 to a Grey or so called route.

Hi,
What I means is that if I put 333 infront of every reate in the rate cards, then destination will mixed up , stripping of 333 happens after the rate engine finished matching , but with 333 (333447) it never matached UK ,
If I m doing something wrong here or missing some kindly explain it
