hi, first of all, i apologies if its the wrong place to post this. i have deployed a prepaid calling card system with trixbox+a2billing. as i was looking into load Balancing as asterisk doesn't support load balance, i stumbled across old thread which was Posted Back in 2007-2008 about using openSer (now openSIPS,Kamailio) to do such a task.
as there are limitiation on the asterisk server resources to handle large amount of concurrent calls,(200-400) i want to find out if i can use openSIPS/Kamailio as a front end server integrated with clusters of asterisk+a2billing to handle calls based load. can opensips handle sip trunk registration, call setup and inbound DID numbers and forward to a2billing extension for pin authentication? if opensips handle all the task, the workload would be on the opensip server? or asterisk server also share the workload?
what i am trying to achieve is:
customer call access no----->openSIPs---->asterisk/a2billing
asterisk/a2billing--->opensips----->voip Termination.
can someone en-light me on this before i commit to this project.
thank you.
