Hi,

I'm in the process of testing the calling card feature of A2Billing. I noticed that it takes 11 seconds exactly to connect and ask the user for the PIN code. Is this normal? How would I go about shortening this period of time to a few seconds?

Hi

Have you got logging turned on

I would expect this to be almost instant,

Joe

I turned off verbosity and logging to 0. Now I get a 6 second delay.

traian1,
When talking of exactly 11 seconds, is that from the time the number is dialed, or the time the call hits the server? if former i would look into the provider, if later
Log in to asterisk console and see how long it takes from the time the call hits in to announcement, check your conf's that you don't have wait's. An analysis of full log will show where delay is.

It's the later, it's 6 seconds now since it hits the server. I was thinking since I disabled the verbosity and logging it might be a hardware failure. I wouldn't be surprised if it was the harddrive or the controller. I was reading a previous thread and it seemed like that might have been the issue. The only problem is that I don't have the drive monitoring tools to check...
