Hi all,
I have teh following problems,
many users when dialing are experiencing non correct billing problems.
it happens that while ringing the ring change tone and start billing the enduser even if the call is not answered.
Other times it happens without any change in the ring tone.
the billing is also reported by the trunk provider so i don't know if the problem is related to me or the provider, I have tryed to change provider I have had some improvement but the issue is not fixed.

It can be a problem where the carrier does false answer. That is to say the carrier answers the call first, before the called party.

Your options are to raise a trouble ticket with the carrier, or change the carrier.

Hi,

As Joe mentioned above, this us usually caused my the provider/route. Unfortunately it is just part of the VoIP business. Sometimes it is a actual problem with the provider and sometimes it is just plain fraud. Gray routes appear to have more concerns from this than others.

You can adjust your agi.conf "min_duration_2bill" to allow a little time before billing starts. You will eat the cost of the call but you will have happier customers. Using this setting while testing routes is good to because it keeps your testers happy while still allowing you to see which provider and routes are okay.
