Hello All;

I would like to know if it's possible to pay an invoice from my balance instead of going through PayPal for every invoice that I have.
Lets say my account balance is $100 and my invoice is $20. Is there a setting or option for this?

I'm using A2B 1.4.4.1

Thanks,

Hi Robin,

I had the same issue a couple of weeks ago. It would be nice to have a "pay from balance" in the payment method menu.

I ended up doing it manually by:

1. Selecting the customer > Selecting "Add payment to this card" and filling out the fields. You need to make sure to click on "CREATE ASSOCIATE REFILL"

2. Go to the invoice and assign the payment and change the status to paid.

At least I think this is what I did. Also, I am not sure if it is the correct way but it did get the job done. Hopefully, someone will post giving a shorter more correct way.

Kind Regards,

Les

Les,

Thanks fro your reply. Your suggestion works except there is an entry in payments with a negative amount and a description of 'REFILL'. That just doesn't look good to me. I feel it would cause some confusion for the customer.
I was wondering what would happen if the amount of the invoice is deducted from the customer's balance when it is closed. Whether they have enough to cover the invoice shouldn't matter. They would still owe the amount. The way it works now, the customer could have a balance of $30 and we create an invoice for $20. The customer would continue to use from their balance and the invoice is still outstanding.
Comments welcomed.

Robin.

Hi Robin,

Given there is not option for the customer to deduct from their current balance, maybe using "Charges" would have been better?

Kind Regards,

Les

Les,

You are absolutely correct. That was my next question. A charge would look much better.
Have you or anyone else gotten [Billing -> Charges] to deduct the amount from the customer's balance?
Is there a secret button or I'm just missing something. If I knew where to look, I'll try to fix it myself.

Thanks again,

Robin.

Hi Robin,

I do not think it worked for me when I tried it. I think it recorded the charge but did not adjust the account balance. I believe that is why I went the way I mentioned above.

Kind Regards,

Les
