Hi
Taking out the qualify statement will mean that endpoints and trunks will not deregister if the lag hits 2000ms, alternatively increase qualify = 4000
Secondly, unless you are going to teach your customers to say "over" after each sentence, it is going to be difficult to run voip over satellite. We have consulted on Satellite comms and A2Billing in a number of places around the world and in each case it was the quality of the provider which was the deciding factor. On a number of major installs, we were getting 650 to 750 ping times to the base station, which was adequate for a good conversation.
More importantly, dropped packets is the killer for VoIP, and this should be considered before worrying about lag, otherwise you are wasting your time.
