DID connection --- howto ?

Hi all,
I would like to connect a DID from one of the many providers to one of my users home phone(connected via SIP) , what is the procedure ? do I have to create any context? I did try already the "add DID" and "destination" but I cannot make it works.

Bring the call into a2billing with the "did" switch, example in the tarball, then set the DID destination as voip call = yes, and the dial string, sip/123456789 where 12345789 is the a2billing account number, or VoIP username.

Sorry i am not sure I understood...
I did buy a DID a real local number i create the trunk in Asterisk and in the inbound i have assigned it to a2billing. in a2billing I have create a DID with the same number and I have added as destination the user assount ...
well it doesen't work...

in your dialplan, do you have a line that looks like ...a2billing.php|did... to which your DID is pointed.

Do you have any doc that can guide me step to step?
do I have to look for a custom extension?
