Post subject:  Signup doesn't generate SIP peer. Lack of feature?

Hello,

Not using realtime (realtime set to NO in settings), when a customer signups through the automatic signup page (signup.php) a customer account is generated but the additional_a2billing_sip.conf is not generated to include that account. I can click on the Generate button in Voip Settings and it doesn't generate the account but for that I have to be in-front of the computer the whole day.

I remember that Joe Roper once said that customer signup should be automated without any need to press Generate even if realtime is not used. I want to confirm if that statement is true or not?

If not, can someone post guide on how to move a base of customers to real-time. I would only do this for A2Billing and not for other Asterisk users (e.g. FreePBX and sip.conf files....). I want to know what module I have to turn on and what I have to run in shell in get this going in real time.

Thanks

Hi

Have you set realtime to "no" in the global settings?

Yes, that is mentioned in the first line of my post.

Please tell me where to look (debug) to see where the problem might be coming from? Realtime is set to NO otherwise the Generate button won't appear. Also, as I mentioned by clicking Generate the files do get created properly and Asterisk reload shows the SIP so it's not a privilege issue either (most likely).

I am guessing something in the signup.php file. Can you point me to where in the signup.php the generate happens if you are familiar with the code?

Thanks
