Hi friends, I need your help for codec setting, i have installed all codecs g723,29 and so on but the problem is, when my client call from a g723 softphone, asterisk accept the call and but send it to the termination gateway in g729 codec simply it convert g723 to g729 which i don't want to do. Peer User/ANR Call ID Seq (Tx/Rx) Format Hold Last Message xxx.xx.xxx (None) 7b7538f 00102/00000 0x0 (nothing) No Init: OPTIONS xx.xx.xx.xx.xx 91xxxxxxx 3aec91a2 00102/00000 0x100 (g729) No Init: INVITE out line xx.xx.xx.xxx xxxxx ad2c5842 00101/00002 0x1 (g723) No Rx: ACK In line Any help will be highly appreciated Kind regards, |

You need to modify Asterisk's configuration for the gateway in question. Move G.723 above G.729 in the list of allowed codecs. |
