Hello
I dont understand your release policies

A2b 1.4 beta is non-working because of mysql schema problems

To get it running it was suggested to upgrade from trunk, same time trunk doesnt work completely

What do you suggest to do ? Why dont you update beta version

If you don't want to help test, don't run pre-release software.

Why roll a new tarball every day when those interested could simply pull from the svn repo?

I do help, and maybe you found some my answers in the forum

Dont make new tarball each time, my point is that demo version should be mostly working version...at least installation shouldnt break during database installation

swast,

It sounds you are very unhappy with the way we are progressing here...
I might tell you we are doing as fast as possible to satisfy you and the community,
you can see we have been really busy since the announcement of the Beta :
http://www.asterisk2billing.org/cgi-bin ... i/timeline

The reason why I didn't rebuild a new tarbal is simply because I ve been also "unhappy" with the amount of bugs that were still open on our trac or raise to our eyes, We v done our best to make this release take off and it seems we are reaching a very good result with 1.4.

So best ways to help :
- Test the trunk
- Report issues on forum
- (coders) build a patch and send it to trac
- donate
- keep in mind that the a2b developers are working hardly

As a non-official announcement, we might release a RC1 in the next 2 days.

Yours,
/Areski

I completely respect your work, actually what was needed to do, is to add correct sql file to tarball
I am just thinking about project
I think you understand, taht if someone downloads beta, and see taht it doesnt work on installation stage, he will not continue to explore this project, so we loose potential help

it was just much more than providing a new sql file, that s why we removed the tarball from download and "waited" to reach a more stable point before any new announcement. I don't want peoples loosing their time if our application is still buggy at some level or not good enough for a pre-production environment.

Yours,
/areski
