Hello, I am generally a newb here, so I appreciate the help!

The CDR reports are not always reflecting the call duration. Usually it is just 0.

The scenario:

I have a DID pointed to my server.
When calls are made to the DID, the A2Billing AGI-Script is evoked with the standard:

[a2billing]
exten => _X.,1,Answer
exten => _X.,2,Wait,2
exten => _X.,3,AGI,a2billing.php
exten => _X.,4,Wait,2
exten => _X.,5,Hangup

Caller enters the PIN, and destination number, call is placed successfully. I can see the call in the CDR but does not show 'Answer' and shows no call duration. The TC either shows "congested" or nothing at all. It has only showed one as 'Answer.'

I have removed the "dead" portion of the AGI command, as Asterisk warned against using it. Not sure if this could be the problem.

Bad idea, leave it as deadagi, search these forums for more information.

In admin module cdr report generated but no call duration show in call history.

You should use DeadAGI instead of AGI as if using just AGI, the channel drops instantly if the call is hanged by caller w/o allowing a2billing.php to write the CDR and bill the call.
