Hello!

I use A2B 1.4RC1.
VAT billing scheme is only "vat above" (exapmle: SUM-100, VAT-20%, TOTAL is 120)
May be useful to include another scheme "vat include" (SUM-100, vat-20%, TOTAL is 100, SUM W/O VAT- 83,3333, VAT- 16,6666). sum w/o vat = total - vat, vat = total/(total+vat)*vat.

Hi

I would take the view that VAT should be kept as simple as possible to avoid miscalculations.

Where customers are being invoiced on a postpaid basis, I would expect to create a rate table excluding VAT on the rates, and then add it on when the invoice is produced and finalised.

In the case of prepaid customers, there are a couple of ways of dealing with VAT.

1. Create rate tables inclusive of VAT
2. Add VAT to the top up and leave the rates ex-VAT - this can only be done if refills and payments can be done manually, so that the VAT element is accounted for outside of A2Billing.

Option 1 is best if you are using Paypal.

In my case rates already include the vat, but the total amount in invoises increases by the vat sum. As a result the VAT is charged twice.

In which case, you should set the VAT to 0 against the customer, or redo the rates ex-VAT

I would prefer the latter option.

I mean that the scheme of VAT calculation affects only on values displayed in documents.
