Hello everyone,

I have been using A2Billing 1.3.4 for almost a year and everything seems good. I have recently been looking into A2Billing 1.4.4.1 and I have noticed that a2billing.conf and agi.conf have been moved into Database.

I personally like all the improvement that has been done on the new version of the A2Billing but I like the way a2billing.conf and agi.conf were "text file". I was wondering if anyone can explain what the reason for this change was and if there is any improvement in the performance or management of A2Billing now that a2billing.conf and agi.conf are accessed via database.

I think this is great if you are running Asterisk and A2Billing on the same box. I currently have 3 Asterisk Boxes which are taking to A2Billing which is sitting on a different Linux box. I have updated the a2billing.conf and agi-bin folder with the A2Billing version 1.4.4.1. I have the menu language ON but Asterisk is not playing menulanguage IVR and it goes stright to asking for PIN number. The Asterisk box announces the Credit but still I am not able to make any call. Anyways, it appears that the Asterisk Box is not getting a2billing.conf file since it appears there is not manue language.

Any information in regard with integrating new A2Billing with my setup will be appreciated.

Thank you very much and have a great day.

Babak

Hi

Being database driven makes the system far more easy to upgrade, and you do not have to synchronise the text files across multiple asterisk servers.

Just point /etc/a2billing.conf at your database, and it should just work.
