Post subject: can't dial input key after serveral hours running.
PostPosted: Fri Apr 21, 2006 11:14 am
I'm having a problem after running asterisk+a2b for serveral hours (2-3 hours). It doesn't want to recieve any input key anymore (pin or number to dial). Than I have to reload the asterisk and the problem is gone.
Is it asterisk or a2b problem ?

thanks.

I'm using OpenSuse 10
Asterisk 1.2.6

The asterisk is still running, and a2b is still working except it doesn't want to accept input key (pin/destination number). The problem appears after few hours of running asterisk+a2b.

anyone have the same problem ?

Hello,

Could you please check - how much RAM you have & how much free, after loading all the process?

I think [as I have no idea, what you've in your PC] - you are running some program, which is not stable or having some bugs that causing memory exausted very fast and thus could be causing this problem.

Hope This helps.

I used two different machines, and still have the same problem.
1# sempron 2400, 512 Mb DDR, opensuse 10, asterisk 1.2.7
2# celeron 500, 521 Mb SDRAM, debian sarge, asterisk 1.2.7

here is the top's results :
top - 08:53:07 up 16:17, 4 users, load average: 0.00, 0.00, 0.00
Tasks: 64 total, 1 running, 63 sleeping, 0 stopped, 0 zombie
Cpu(s): 0.3% us, 0.0% sy, 0.0% ni, 99.7% id, 0.0% wa, 0.0% hi, 0.0% si
Mem: 516664k total, 393076k used, 123588k free, 39228k buffers
Swap: 297160k total, 0k used, 297160k free, 252024k cached

i'm going to downgrade my asterisk, let see what will happen.

thanks.

Hello,

Could you please make sure that, can you access to your voice mail system OR you are able to send calls straightly without a2billing [while you are having this problem to get the input key working, after several hours of running].

If you cannot access to your voicemail or to send calls straightly, it means you are having trouble with the Asterisk!

Hope this helps..!

I have downgrade my asterisk to debian stabel version 1.08, but still, the same problem appears.

thanks.

- I use two different machine, 1# with X, 2# without X. the problem is the same.

- yes, I already put record_calls=NO.

I guess, the problem is on A2B or at my SIP provider.

thanks a lot.

Hello,

As you said - it doesnt take any input key.
The input key are received first by Asterisk and passed to a2billing AGI, so usually there shouldn't be problem from your provider [the calls wont be passed - if problem from provider].

We are using a2billing for more than 8 months, there is no problem with PIN number + call hadling, accounting; anyway there is some minor problem.

SO, lets find out:-

1. What is the version of PHP [command: rpm -qa | grep php ] you are using?

2. Can you start asterisk with asterisk -rvvv , and give the output here [at the time, when you are having the input key problem].

Hope this helps..!
