Hi all,

I have a2billing installed and running- :) . The problem I am having is that some extension phones dont recognise the PIN number especially the softphones.

So when someone trys to make a call it ask for the PIN number, when you type in the PIN number it say no PIN number entered....try agaian ..e.t.c.

The VoIP deskphone extension type seems to have no problem but the softphone and the ATA extensions do!

hello.

What version of asterisk you are using?

You have to make sure;

your ip phones -->> asterisk -> are in the same DTMF mode.

By default asterisk has RFC2833 [if you dont assign any mode]. If ip phones are inband mode, so the DTMF generated by ip phones wont be recognised by asterisk, and as so a2billing AGI will not receive any digits.

At last :- you have to make sure also that you have the same DTMF mode as to termination provider.

Hope this helps.

Have tried to change the DMTF and still the same problem.

I guess you right it isnt an issue with a2billing cause even the voicemail reetrevial doesnt work when u type in the passwd.

Any ideas where else I shd look?

Hello,

We have been using a2billing quite a long time and there is nothing issue have been found on a2billing.
we didnt check all options on his current version [1.1] but the few features like [call connection, accounting, paypal] works great.

Note:- There are some known issues which is very minor [matter of time to fix] but you've to adapt his billing rather than to pay thousands of dollars.

I would recommend to check your Asterisk settings all over again !! And this is mostly about DTMF settings. Use Xlite [if soft phone]

Please make sure first - you can access to your voicemail [if I guess - your voice mail settigs are rightly.]

Hope this helps.

It was the DMTF optoin!

Wehn I setup the extension I normally set DMTF to inband.

So when I first tried to return to rfc2833 it didnt work. But when I changed to INFO method ...it then worked fine :D

Thanks for all the help!
